EPFP Louisiana Halfway Mark!

It’s hard to believe, but the halfway point of Louisiana’s first Education Policy Fellowship Program cohort is fast approaching! Over the last five months of colloquiums, the Fellows have covered topics like Building Viable Governance Models, The Future of Test-Based Accountability, and Inside the Louisiana State Budget, with prestigious speakers like:

  • Jan Moller, Director, Louisiana Budget Project
  • Scott Richard, Executive Director, Louisiana School Boards Association
  • “The EPFP experience has been nothing short of transformative. The space has afforded me the ability to reflect and analyze my beliefs, strengthen my leadership skills, and develop deep insight into what’s going on in Louisiana’s schools. I strongly encourage my fellow education leaders to take part.”
    – Susan Kahn, EPFP Louisiana Fellow
  • Dr. James A. Richardson, Director of the Public Administration Institute, Louisiana State University
  • Barry Erwin, President, Council for a Better Louisiana
  • Ann Duplessis, President, Louisiana Federation for Children
  • Maurice “Moon” Landrieu, former Mayor, City of New Orleans
  • Dr. Andre Perry, education advocate and consultant
  • Paul Pastorek, former State Superintendent of Louisiana

Congratulations to all of our Fellows — we can’t wait to see what they do next. Keep your eyes on this space for their upcoming thesis project announcements!
